About Public Health is all about YOU! Story Clinical and nonclinical services are available to Wyandotte County residents. Some services are available to non residents. The Health Department does not discriminate based on race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. There is a nominal fee charged for most clinic services. Some fees are based on a sliding fee scale, while others have a set fee. We accept government insurance (Medicaid, Healthwave). There are fees for some nonclinical services (permits, inspections, licensure). Mission The mission of the Wyandotte County Health Department is to monitor and assess health status indicators to identify community health problems, and to promote and encourage healthy lifestyle behaviors.
