About The Eden Health District is focused on meeting the healthcare needs of the community. Story The Eden Health District has taken a leadership role in regional healthcare planning to ensure that the residents of the District continue to have access to quality medical services. The District has the opportunity to work on a regional planning effort to ensure continuity and accessibility to a wide range of health services in central Alameda County. The District’s goal is to bring a long-term commitment to residents of the District – San Leandro, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, Hayward and surrounding communities – that is accomplished with the District’s investment. A Community Advisory Committee has been established to gather input and make decisions about the future of the District. Mission The mission of the Eden Health District is to improve the health of the people in our community by investing resources in health and wellness programs that meet identified goals.
