Story The North Coast Small Business Development Center helps local businesses start, grow, and thrive in Del Norte, Humboldt & Tribal Lands. Visit our offices in Eureka & Crescent City for free one-on-one business advising, and low-cost workshops. Mission The mission of the North Coast Small Business Development Center is to cultivate small business success by providing high-quality technical support, training and in-depth financial analysis for start-up and existing companies. Products NCSBDC programs are available to all Humboldt and Del Norte County businesses- existing and start-up. All business interactions are confidential. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services are available in Del Norte County at 225 H Street, Crescent City. ONE-ON-ONE SERVICES BIZNET: BizNet provides local businesses with one-stop answers and information on common business concerns such as licensing, permits, zoning, etc. One call may be all that you need! Give us a call at (707) 445-9035 or (800) 697-7232 ext.1 INDIVIDUAL BUSINESS COUNSELING: For in-depth questions, we offer private, 1-on-1 counseling on a broad list of topics, including but not limited to: start-up issues, the loan application process, licensing and permits, marketing, sales and distribution, international import/export, inventory control, hiring and managing employees, financial management and bookkeeping, e-commerce, legal and tax issues, home-based businesses, and Small Business Administration programs including 8-A certification. Counseling is available by appointment throughout Humboldt County and at our Crescent City office. Please call the Eureka or Crescent City office or fill out our online form at www.northcoastsbdc.org/counsel ENRICHMENT OPPORTUNITIES RESOURCE LIBRARY: The Frances Clark Memorial Business Library includes books and audio video presentations on a wide range of business topics. Library hours are 10:00-4:00, Monday through Friday. BUSINESS BASICS SEMINAR SERIES: The “Business Basics Seminar Series” is designed for the start-up business operator. Seminars provide a good legal/financial/operational foundation for the new business owner. The five-part series includes “Marketing Basics”, “Start-Up Basics”, “Business Plan Basics”, ”Books and Records” and “Financial Basics.” All five seminars are offered regularly at both locations, two hours in length, free for participants, and individuals who complete the series receive Certificates of Completion. ADVANCED WORKSHOPS: The North Coast SBDC and other partners in the Prosperity Network offer workshops encompassing a wide range of topics seasonally.
