About Our Story... Story Founded by Robert E. Lane, M.D. in 1987, Coastal Caroina Family Practice, P.A. is a regionally focused family practice medical facility that serves the Albemarle area in northeastern North Carolina. Our practice is dedicated to aiding our patients thoughout all the stages of their lives by utlitizing an interactive approach to patient care that focuses on preventative medicine, health education and the importance we place on our patient's involvement in every aspect of the decision-making process that involves their care. We are currently one of the largest and most state of the art family practice groups in a 100 mile radius with a patient base that extends to all of the surrounding areas as well as Virginia. Centrally located 13 miles from Chowan Hosptial in Edenton, N.C. and 20 miles from Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, N.C. we offer referrals to both facilities should additional care be necessary.
