Story In 1959, Kermit Krause bought “Gene’s Place” from his dad and Krause’s Cafe was born. Serving only a noon meal, Krause’s was frequented as a saloon and became known for their beer, dominos and card games. It’s our hope that Krause’s Cafe will forever be a New Braunfels staple, serving as a gathering place for family and friends.
