About New Horizons Healthcare is an independent, non-profit, community-based organization serving patients with and without health insurance in the Roanoke, VA area, regardless of income. Story New Horizons Healthcare provides a variety of comprehensive primary health care for all ages. Includes medical care, dental services, pharmacy and medication assistance, behavioral health assessment, counseling, and treatment, case management, care coordination, group and individual patient education, disease management assistance, referrals for specialty services, assistance with enrolling in ACA insurance plans, and community education, outreach, and health promotion programs. Accepts most health insurance including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance, and offers a sliding fee discount for those with no insurance, or who are under-insured (high deductibles), depending on income.
