About A yarn shop to inspire your unique creativity with selections of yarn that you won’t find at your average yarn shop. Story The Mariner's Daughter is located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Looking out over the harbor, the shop has a direct view of the famous Canadian fishing and racing schooner The Bluenose. Inspired by our own personal travel experiences and the town’s nautical history we aim to provide customers with a broad and unique selection of yarns from around the world. For example, we carry yarn from local Nova Scotian farms and fair trade suppliers from Ghana, Bolivia, Peru, and India. All our yarn is made from natural fibers. Our goal is to inspire everyone’s own unique creativity with selections of yarn that you won’t find at your average yarn shop. Our colorful interior and displays help bring fun and excitement to knitting & crocheting in an open, welcoming environment for people of all ages and skill levels.
