Story White Dog Plantation (formerly Nicholson Farmhouse Restaurant) is 60 acres of natural beauty with a village of historic buildings including the c. 1880 Salem House (now four unique bed and breakfast rooms), the c. 1828 Nicholson Plantation House (on the National Historic Register), a country store/post office (two b&b rooms), and Shady Rest, our c. 1925 events center and former honky tonk! While the Shady Rest building would be appropriate for almost any kind of event for up to 200 people, our plantation is especially suited for weddings as one has the choice of several outdoor locations for the wedding itself including a gazebo and newly constructed pergola.
