About Family owned furniture and mattress store in Athens, Ga. Story Adcock Furniture is Locally Owned and Operated! The Adcock family has been in the furniture business since 1968. We owe our livelihood to the people who live in and around Athens and Bogart, Georgia. We sponsor local sports teams, participate in our community, create local jobs, and support our schools. While many of the national furniture chains constantly move their personnel from store to store, Adcock Furniture employees work right here year after year.
