About The Cecil County Sheriff's Office is the premier law enforcement organization for Cecil County, Maryland. CCSO is led by Sheriff Scott Adams. Story The Cecil County Sheriff's Office is staffed by more than 200 sworn and unsworn staff providing a full spectrum of law enforcement services to the residents and visitors of Cecil County, Maryland. Our law enforcement division has more than 80 sworn Deputies working in Patrol, Criminal Investigations, School Resources, Sex Crimes, and Crimes Against Children. Our Civil Team supports the Cecil County Courts System. The Sheriff's Office is also represented by our Corrections Division which responsible for running the Cecil County Detention Facility located on Landing Lane in Elkton. Corrections Deputies are responsible for securing the Detention Facility as well as transporting prisoners to and from Court. Mission To Serve and Protect the people of Cecil County.
