About Colombian cuisine and American dishes are very alike. We serve steak, pork loin, and stir fry dishes too. The only difference is our delicious ingredients! Story Aromas Del Sur opened their doors on October 1st, 2010 in Ephrata, PA. The Buitrago Family originated from Medellin, Colombia. Around 35 years ago, Arturo Buitrago, one out of the fourteen children was the first to come to USA. Little by little the whole family came to New York. After living in NY for many years the Buitrago Family landed in Lancaster, PA after a sister found a job out here. Again little by little they moved to Lancaster to start a new and more relaxed life for their children. As the Hispanic population grew here in Lancaster, the Buitrago Family was known for selling empanadas and Tamales from their mothers house in Ephrata to local friends and family members. After a couple years, Arturo thought we should share our Colombian food and culture with others in this area. Aromas Del Sur was born and ran by Nena Agudelo, Henry Buitrago and Arturo with Colombian family and friends working by their side.
