About Walker River Resort is an outdoor resort located in a high desert region on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Story You think you are on "the road to nowhere" when you turn off Hwy 208 and head for the Resort. Nothing but sagebrush lines the road in and then, Voila, you get a glimpse of the thousands of mature poplar trees which make up the unique oasis of Walker River Resort. Sounds trite...but it is a tremendous example of dedication to creating a Resort in the middle of nowhere. Mission To provide outstanding hospitality, lodging, and outdoor recreation for our guests in a scenic but unlikely location! Products One day, in the middle of summer, our guests enjoyed on the Resort property and its environs the following activities: kayaking, rafting and tubing in the West Walker River; dirt bikes, quads and ATV riding, sporting clay shooting, target shooting, swimming (river and pool), fly fishing, desert golfing, bar, gaming, hot tubing, poker, rockhounding, hiking and bird watching. No crowds, just fun.
