About Craddock Finishing is a third generation family-owned business providing OEMs with painted enclosures and sub-assemblies. Paint application has always been Story Your parts will undergo drastic changes as they transverse the paint lines. More than 1,100 feet of overhead conveyor will transport your product to and through the various departments. The destination may be one of two overhead chain lines (total 880 feet) with both liquid and powder capabilities. Travelling through a gas convection oven, your part may see cure temperatures of 125-375°F or up to 800°F for the more exotic specialized coatings. Turbulating the oven air at 10,000 cfm assists in migrating the solvent from the coating. Additionally, the product could “see the light” as the 3 zone, full range, high intensity infrareds provide surface curing. Another destination may be one of three pallet conveyor lines (total 1,670 ft.) where your product may pass through either 3 or 4 spray booths per line, allowing for multiple coat operations. The more labor intensive parts (multi-color) may be gently processed through one of five freestanding “batch” booths where attention to detail does not allow for automated product conveyance. In all, 18 spray stations and five separate automated lines can greatly impact the appearance of your product.
