About Home cooked Italian food since 1946 Large new function room along with expert catering Story Fanny and Leo Mencoboni opened a Framingham MA neighborhood grocery store in 1946. Each night, Fanny would prepare dinner for her family in the back room. The fabulous aromas made shoppers ask “what’s for dinner?” and many tried to buy whatever she was cooking. They insisted she sell them her salad dressing and sauce. Within two years the store became an italian restaurant and the rest is history.
