About The only dedicated brick-and-mortar purse museum in the U.S. is supported by the upscale Store at ESSE. Group rate for 8 or more paid with one transaction. Story Esse Purse Museum of Women's History showcases the purse’s evolving function, design and its contents to tell the story of American women in the 20th century. Admission is $10 regular, $8 senior, military, student. Children under 6 are free and special group rates apply, too. Not only is ESSE a woman-owned small business, but The Store at ESSE is a supporter of artisans from all over the world – a small business supporting other small businesses.
