Our motto is to “invite, grow and serve.” Our worship, ministries and programs at Ascension are rooted in our mission statement and the needs and concerns of the people in the Conejo Valley of Southern California, but we are also committed to historic Christian orthodoxy as expressed in scripture and the Apostles' Creed, as well as in the traditions of the Lutheran Church. We belong to the Southern California Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. (www.socalsynod.org and www.elca.org) Products Worship services are Saturdays at 6 p.m. (country/bluegrass), Sundays at 8:00 and 9:30 (traditional services with pipe organ and choirs) and 11:00 a.m. (contemporary service with Praise Alive band). Education for all every Sunday and small groups for Bible study and service throughout each week. All are invited! Lunch Bunch (for all ages) meets every Wednesday noon. $4 for lunch; sign up on the Monday before each Wednesday. "Food for body and soul" Know of someone grieving? We have GriefShare group every Friday at 12:30 pm in the library. Needing a job? Our Vocare faith-based job networking group meets the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month at 7 p.m. in the Bethlehem Room. Next Peru mission trip, "Listen Learn Love" will be June/July 2012!
