About For information on camping or reserving a site, visit: http://parksandrecreation.idaho.gov/ Contact the park office at (208)924-7563 Story Winchester Lake State Park is an excellent spot to enjoy fishing for rainbow trout, hiking, or simply exploring the surrounding woods. Take a spin on the lake in a rented canoe or bike one of our many trails on a rented bicycle. During the winter, enjoy some cross country skiing or ice fishing. While in the area, visit the Wolf Education Center near the park entrance and observe wolves in a near-natural habitat. Winchester Lake offers 46 serviced, 22 standard, and 3 ADA campsites, as well as 4 yurts (1 ADA). Reservations can be made for Memorial Day through Labor Day for campsites and year-round for yurts.
