About WFMS cross-country team is an organized running group for middle school students in the Whitefish area run by parent volunteers. New runners welcome! Story Fall 2014 practice schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays 3:30 to 5:00pm. Meet in WMS cafeteria after school. With parent pick up at bike racks. Wednesdays are an optional trail run at 5 pm, details TBA. Level of difficulty of practices: Open to all levels of runners from "I've never run before & feel slow!" to "Running up Big Mountain is like two scoops of Sweet Peaks ice cream to me." We'll have several parents at each practice to accomodate different levels of runners. Season: September 8 to October 11. Race schedule: 9/13 Kalispell, 9/20 Missoula, 9/27 Polson, 10/3 C. Falls, 10/11 Whitefish. 1.5 miles for races. Why join?: Health & fitness, camaraderie, expand your horizons, explore Whitefish & surrounding trails and country roads on foot, running is cool… ;)
