About Welcome to the official page of the Fort Smith Public Schools. Story The FSPS District has provided outstanding educational opportunities for more than 130 years. With a student population of more than 14,000, it continues to be one of the largest districts in the state of Arkansas. The District is comprised of 19 neighborhood elementary schools, four junior high schools, two senior high schools, one alternative learning center and one adult education center. All schools are accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education and by the North Central Association-Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement.
