About Shippen Place is a modern, four-story hotel in historic downtown Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, built in 1997 and renovated in 2012. Story Shippen Place is located along Interstate I-81 corridor of the scenic Cumberland Valley, it is within convenient driving distance of a number of industries, tourist attractions, educational institutions, and has free off street parking. Although we do not have a gift shop, there are many boutique and antique shops within pedestrian access. We are the only hotel in town with a full-service restaurant and room service. The University Grille is located on the ground floor and features a full lunch and dinner menu, well-stocked bar, an outdoor patio, and frequent live music performances. Also enjoy a special made latte at our newest addition to the hotel, One Bean Espresso Bar. Our central location puts us in walking distance of a variety of other eateries. Whether we lie at the end of the road or somewhere along your path, we welcome you to enjoy the small-town charm, friendly service, and pleasurable amenities of Shippen Place Hotel, University Grille and One Bean Espresso Bar.
