Story The Sandhills Jewish Congregation evolved from its beginning in 1981 as The Sandhills Jewish Cultural Group, meeting in each other’s homes. In 2001, the Congregation purchased three acres of land in the Foxfire Village area of Pinehurst and built our synagogue, naming it “Beth Shalom.” Beth Shalom continues to grow and has become the center for Jewish life in the Sandhills.
