About Calvary United Methodist Church is a small Church located in the middle of a residential street in Kearny, NJ. It was founded about 100 years ago by a group of Swedish people living in the area. The congregation is a small one but their faith & commitment to helping others & spreading the word of God is enormous. They take pride in providing the children & people living in the Irvington projects with clothing,food & school supplies through a non-United Methodist church in Irvington. They also supply Stop & Shop gift cards to the Food Banks of several nearby towns because of their affiliation with Food for Friends ran by Stop & Shop in Lyndhurst NJ. They open the church doors to all and strive to be sure that whoever comes thru those doors feel they are part of their church family. Invite your family and friends ! We hope see to see you soon!
