About Maple River Animal Clinic is a full service veterinary facility servicing the medical and surgical needs of both small and large animals. Story Maple River Animal Clinic was founded by Dr. Colleen Thorp in 1994 after practicing locally for several years. As time progressed, it was determined an expansion was necessary. A surgical suite and expanded kennel space were added. Today the clinic features four exam rooms, two treatment tables, a separate surgical suite, isolation kennels, and room for over a dozen in-patients. The clinic also has a freestanding barn with two stalls and a stock for horses and livestock. Maple River Animal Clinic does perform farm calls throughout Emmet and parts of Cheboygan and Charlevoix counties. The clinic also provides emergency services for additional fees.
