About OUR NAME SAYS IT ALL! Story Aquarium Center, Inc. first opened to the public in August of 1989 with 1600 square feet of space and about 150 tanks. Admittedly, Aquarium Center did open on a shoestring, not much more than a good idea and a lot of enthusiasm. As a consumer I was tired and disgusted with average selection, average quality of livestock, and mostly average customer service. I began a mission to raise the standards of the all the aforementioned categories within the tri-state area. We have always operated in the same location, and today, with the support of our very loyal customer base, we now operate 6400 square feet of retail space with 500+ tanks filled with a huge array of freshwater fish, saltwater fish, freshwater and saltwater plants, freshwater and saltwater invertebrates, corals and live rock. We have always had two objectives from conception of Aquarium Center, Inc. First, we wanted to offer the most comprehensive and complete selection of livestock and supplies for every aspect of the fish-keeping hobby, hence, the name Aquarium Center. Secondly, we wanted to create an environment that is truly enjoyable, not only for our employees, but the general public, who would come to appreciate, the highest standards of quality, selection, and customer service. Along the way our customers have come to expect all this, along with a knowledgeable, dedicated sales staff, one that can be depended upon for the most expert advice. Doing all this while offering the lowest prices possible.
