About KKBE (www.kkbe.org) is the oldest synagogue in continuous use in the United States and a national historic landmark. Service times are 8pm on Friday evenings (7pm on the first Friday of the month) and 10am on Saturday mornings. Story Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim is more than just a house of worship. We are a vibrant, inclusive and caring congregational family. KKBE is committed to providing opportunities for practicing Reform Judaism in an atmosphere of serenity, warmth, mutual acceptance and historical significance. Founded in 1749 as a Sephardic Orthodox congregation, in 1841, Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim--also known as KKBE--was firmly committed to the path of religious Reform Judaism. Our sanctuary is the second oldest synagogue building in the United States and the oldest in continuous use. Tours available: M-F at 10:15 am, 11:15 am, 1:15 pm and 2:15 pm Sun 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm We are closed on Saturday Mission Torah, Avodah, G'milut Chasadim The mission of Kahal Kadosh Beth Elohim shall be to serve the religious needs of families and individuals through: Programs of lifelong Jewish education (Torah), Inclusive communal worship and ritual (Avodah), Ongoing quest for greater justice, peace and acts of loving-kindness (G'milut Chasadim).
