Our Communities At Windermere, we believe in the importance of serving the community we share. Enriching the neighborhood in which we live and work is an integral part of our philosophy. Windermere Foundation We’ve contributed millions of dollars to the Foundation, which provides housing, food, clothing and emotional support to homeless families. Every time you buy or sell a home, a portion of the commission goes to the Windermere Foundation. Windermere agents and staff organize Foundation fundraisers and contribute through payroll deduction. Community Service Day One day each year, the entire company—more than 7500 strong—spends the day giving back to a variety of community-based projects. That’s more than 50,000 volunteer hours in one day! Since 1984 we have spent hundreds of thousands of hours on service projects in communities throughout the West through Community Service Day activities. Projects have included maintenance at a senior center, landscaping a children’s playground and preparing meals at a homeless shelter.
