About CIPR integrates academic and research activity at Rutgers related to the study of the structures, functions, and interactions of proteins. Story The Center for Integrative Proteomics Research (CIPR) integrates academic and research activity related to proteomics – the study of the structures, functions, and interactions of proteins - at Rutgers. This research can provide a fuller understanding of the molecular basis of health and disease, including drug development and discovery. CIPR houses programs and resources key to worldwide biomedical research, most notably the RCSB Protein Data Bank resource for the study of the 3D structures of biological molecules. As part of the overarching Proteomics Center, CIPR also houses the BioMaPS Institute for Quantitative Biology that promotes research and education at the interface of biology, mathematics, and physical biology, High Field Bio-NMR Programs, and High Performance Computing.
