About More than just a movie theater -- it also has the best popcorn in four states! Story Vintage movie theater showing first run films every weekend, year 'round. Movies have been shown at the Star since 1928; current owners have operated it as a "mom and pop" neighborhood theater since 1977. The decor is circa 1949 and the prices have barely changed since the late '70s. $4.50 for adults; $4 for kids. The Star went digital in 2013 to assure its survival beyond year's end when movies on film cease.
