About Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum preserves the memories of those islanders who risked their lives to rescue others from the over 700 shipwrecks in the surrounding waters of Nantucket - known as "a graveyard in the Atlantic". Story Egan Maritime Institute's Nantucket Shipwreck & Lifesaving Museum features permanent and changing exhibitions that will fascinate both adults and children.
