About The official Facebook page of EagleBank Arena (formerly the Patriot Center). The 10,000-seat arena is in Fairfax, Va at George Mason University. Story EagleBank Arena (formerly Patriot Center) features Mason's men's and women's basketball games, concerts, family shows, commencements and high school graduations each year. The arena is managed by Monumental Sports & Entertainment and opened on Oct. 4, 1985. On May 7, 2015, an announcement was made to reflect a new name for the arena, EagleBank Arena. The announcement is part of a 10-year educational partnership between George Mason and Eagle Bank that also includes a new naming rights agreement for the arena.
