About The intended purpose of this site is to serve as a mechanism of communication between the city and members of the public. Story Sultan is a scenic community surrounded by sparkling waterways and stunning mountain views. Nestled in at the confluence of the Wallace, Skykomish and Sultan rivers, Sultan combines rustic, small town charm with great historical reverence, as it aspires toward responsible growth while honoring its origins. With a population of just over 5,000, Sultan is a wonderful place to live, recreate and raise a family.
