About Golden Phoenix Chinese & Korean Restaurant. Story Golden Phoenix was first opened in April 2005. The culinary dream of a two part "St. Claire" team, Mr. and Mrs. St Claire opened "Golden Phoenix" restaraunt. Mrs. St Claire is the head chef and current proprietor of this fantasticly delicious location. Mrs. St. Claire is a self taught chef. Korean in origin, she watched, experimented and learned to cuisine of her home country, and also learned to cook popular chinese dishes that Golden Phoenix's menu offers. In March 2012 this family run business took a devestating blow when Mr. St. Claire passed away unexpectedly. Starting on June 5th, for six long months the restaraunt closed for mourning and restoration. A total revamp of the kitchen, a fresh coat of paint and some rearranging of decorations were done. On December 14th, 2012, the doors reopened for business. Rebuilding and learning to run a business and live her life on her own, Mrs. St Claire is running this small business with all her heart and soul.
