Edit: Was going to change my review because my beef is with Amtrak and not the station. But, the train broke down on my return as well. Six plus hours riding the bus this weekend. I bought TRAIN tickets. Stay away from Amtrak unless you like rolling the dice with your time and sanity. This place is like the fifth level of hell. I will never use Amtrak again. First time I tried riding over to eastern Washington. It was delayed by FIVE hours. They kept giving vague excuses, incrementally pushing departure times further and further back. Now I'm sitting here again. T r y i n g to get to southern Washington. Last night there was a notice about a landslide on the tracks BUT it was after my destination. Arrive at the station only to find out that now I have to catch a bus in Seattle. WHY wasn't this info on the website!? I would have drove! Best part, the train is now delayed by an hour. God only knows when I'll reach my destination. This was supposed to be a low stress travel option. It is the polar opposite of that. I hate you Amtrak.

Every time I'm here its very quiet and I have a peaceful check in. Great view of the Sound and there's a good coffeeshop and donut shop nearby. Its Edmonds, so breakfast is on every corner. The place is basically an Amtrak museum and they should lean in to that aspect. The chairs are pretty uncomfortable.

Services Sounder and Amtrak. Easy walk to the Kingston ferry.

Very limited departure times to Seattle and, unless you're catching the early morning Sounder, the prices into town are extortionate. We decided against the $35 dollar return each and drove into Seattle (paying $12 for parking instead). A shame really as I'm sure the views from the train are excellent.
