Mr. Hanlon has been such a great help to my wife and I. I have been so against filing for bankruptcy but I was at the end of my rope and had to do something. He answered all our questions and put our minds at ease with the pros and cons of filing. His assistant Darlene is the kind of person needed in all professional offices. Her willingness to help and professionalism definitely added to the great experience I had with their office. With the help of him and his assistant, me and my wife were able to sleep at night again. I had a great experience with Mr. Hanlon and his team. I started with a chapter 13 and changed it to a chapter 7. Everything went smoothly and Darlene was the best keeping me informed and updated with the progress of my bankruptcy.. I hope to never need him again but if I do I know that I will return to him if I do.

I came to Mr. Hanlon's law office to file two different cases. He made the process so easy and painless. He went into details with every step of the process, making sure I had a full understansing of how this case would help me. His assistant, Darlene, was such a sweetheart, very helpful with questions and concerns when I called the office. I have referred 3 family members and will continue to refer people.

In my experience, this one-man practice is simply a bankruptcy factory concentrating on volume.  If you want a somewhat unhurried (i.e., more than 10 minutes) legal analysis of your situation, shop around and/or do your own research.   Your debts might be so old they are beyond the statute of limitations and cannot be collected.  This is not information you will be told by this practice.  They've got a script to follow to get you into ch 7 or ch 13 and deviations from it take too much time.   

NOTABLE CONS:

After opting for the service, customer service on the phone is LOUSY.  Call backs don't happen.  The lawyer and his assistants will tell you how busy he is (now, next week, next month, the rest of the year, etc.), and that is intended to be the final answer to your question.  If your circumstances change after the case goes through (e.g., you lose your job in a ch 13 case), you are not likely to get any useful information out of this firm.  You'll have to consult another lawyer.  Factor that into your cost estimate for using this firm's services.  

POSSIBLE PRO:

I'm told, but have no way of confirming it, that in the meeting with the trustee or court, the lawyer will argue your position.  That is hopeful.  

Overall it was a fast-food legal experience with a very low level of customer service.  I tended to get more useful information out of the secretaries, when they could be made to talk, than the lawyer himself.
