DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. These people have no compassion or respect for the dead. My mother body been sitting at ther facility since the 25th of November. Not once was I able to view my mothers body. While getting financially prepared my mamas body was not embalmed either . Waiting to been seen by the funeral director so payment can be submitted and everything can be processed and her body can start being preserved. Bryan cancelled  the day of preparation. When he already been putting my mama on the back burner. Communication is very inconsistent. The funeral director is Bryan he cancelled by Tex didn’t have the common decency to call. Very unprofessional would not recommend this place if it was FREE. Horrible Horrible business wouldn’t bring my worst enemy here. Keep looking people.

David and his son Chase were there for our family when mom passed.  They were understanding and courteous throughout the entire process.  I was impressed with the comfortable setting their offices provided.  We had specific needs for mom's funeral and they consistently worked with us to deliver.  I especially appreciated the family atmosphere David and Chase provided in their funeral parlor.  At no time were we pressured to purchase more than our needs.  If we had questions they went beyond our expectations in providing answers and alternatives.   I will most definitely use their services as needs arise in the future

My family cannot thank David and Chase enough for their exceptional, prompt care of my Mother during a difficult time for all.  Not only did they care for her, but for her family, as well.  Their professionalism, knowledge of the VA system, compassion for  our needs, and promptness mixed with their amazing sense of humor was a perfect fit for my family. Paul and the staff at Funeral Alternatives were absolutely amazing. We lost our daughter and they made everything as easy as possible on us. They picked her up the same day as she passed from the hospital. Once they had her, they took hand prints and footprints. We were able to take those home and include them in her memory box. They also gave us the medallion that identified her and my husband now wears it as a keepsake. The staff at Funeral Alternatives provided their services for our infant daughter for free and this was incredibly meaningful after our loss. They even took the steps to help us figure out how to travel internationally with her ashes. I could not recommend their services enough. They are kind, compassionate, and understanding. I am so grateful to everyone at Funeral Alternatives.

Edwards Memorial offers the best services, when I first walked in they welcome my family and I and also they they treated us with loving care.. They service is so great even with their pricing is very affordable. I would recommend Edward's services to any family that will need it

I don’t usually write reviews but David and Chase deserve to be acknowledged for their excellent service during a very difficult time. They are trustworthy, dependable, and affordable. I spoke with another well-known funeral home and they got a little “salesy” on the call. There was none of that with Funeral Alternatives. They made everything very easy for us. Very poor communication and given the wrong information twice.  There was no personal connection or signs of caring or compassion.  I would never use this service again.  It’s affordable but the whole process was frustrating.

There are no words that can fully express my level of gratitude and appreciation for the folks at Funeral Alternatives of Washington in Federal Way. Chase, his father, and his family are compassionate, kind, and empathetic people who put people over profit. Death is such a hard thing and Funeral Alternatives of Washington made our experience as calm and comfortable as possible, even when our hearts were breaking. From beginning to end, they truly cared about not just our wishes, but also about us as people. We lost our infant son and from the very first time we spoke, I knew I could trust this family with my baby. I also want other parents to know that these are individuals who, like us, have loved and lost people who are very near and dear to their hearts--and who have made it clear that they will not profit off of the loss of a child. When I lost my baby and started looking into costs, I was so hurt at the idea of not only leaving the hospital without my child, but also having to then dish out nearly four thousand dollars just to get him to his final earthly resting place. Chase and his family only charged us for the tangible items the casket and the prayer cards at cost, and not a penny more. They truly are good people who are in this business to do the right thing. I encourage anyone who has experienced a recent loss to reach out to to Funeral Alternatives and work with people who honestly and genuinely care. They will forever be a part of my life's journey and were here for me in a time of dire need. I hope they can provide the same level of comfort, care, and respect to you and your loved ones.

We are members of People's Memorial Association, which contracts with Funeral Alternatives to provide low-cost direct cremation or direct burial. David and Chase did everything we could have hoped for in a funeral director. They communicated with us in a timely and compassionate manner, got the death certificate taken care of pronto, kept us informed during the entire process, and returned the cremains to us soon enough so we could have the funeral we wanted at our property, which was the perfect alternative for our family and friends. These are great people to work with.
