Long story short there is no communication what so ever between staff. No one knew where my mom was after surgery, assistant nurse didn't pay attention and felt like she didn't know what she was doing and didn't pass on info to following nurse about the don'ts for my mom luckily I was here to tell her myself, nurses were rude only 2 were very nice and always gave information, would have to call nurse for assistance more then 2 times until someone showed up and sometimes they wouldn't at all for bathroom assistance! We were happy surgery wasn't going to be at Desert but it's been horrible here

Last year, I was referred to the Eisenhower Orthopedic Center by my primary care physician to get a rare tumour removed from my wrist. One thing I can say is that the surgeon who operated on my wrist, Stephen O'Connell, was very professional and thorough throughout the entire process. It's thanks to him that I can use my right hand again without experiencing pain. Almost everything about this place, including the receptionists, nurses, and even the large parking lot are amazing. In fact, I would've rated this place 5 stars had it not been for an incident with one of the younger doctors, whose name escapes me at the moment. When I went in the get my stitches removed, the younger doctor ignored my complaints regarding an extreme amount of pain whenever he bent my wrist, instead giving me the manly and unlettered, "Be a man, suck it up" advice you'd expect from a 26 year old high school football coach. I followed the younger doctor's advice on how to recover the mobility in my wrist, only to stumble back into the orthopedic center the same day when my wrist, for lack of a better word, "exploded". My recovery time was extended greatly because of this incident, but again, the fantastic nurses and staff members did not hesitate to help. Despite my issue with Dr. Suck-It-Up, if I ever have another orthopedic issue, I definitely hope I can come back here.

I can't believe the lack of communication between patient and this business. I can't stress this enough, if you have insurance with a separate hospital.. like Kaiser. Your looking for a headache of problems. I have been dealing with billing for over a year because Eisenhower Medical Center couldn't process my medical information from when I had given them at the ER. I have disputed billing that took over 6 months and now I just received another bill from over a year ago through a collection agency. This is the first time I was notified of this bill. I called Eisenhower and they claim I owe a separate bill (Physician Bill) that wasn't processed through my insurance. Kaiser has no record of this bill and this leaves me in a very vulnerable situation. I will never go here again!

This hospital was Dedicated in 1971 in honor of Dwight D Eisenhower, our distinguished 34th President, who lived part time in the valley during his retirement years. In 1969 Bob Hope's wife Dolores spearheaded the formation of the Eisenhower Medical Center Auxiliary, a group which grew from a handful of people into one of the most successful volunteer and philanthropic organizations of its kind in the world. There are names on buildings, and plaques everywhere, including elevators, honoring donors to this, 130 acre, not-for-profit institution. It was recently rated in the top 100 hospitals nationwide. In the past 17 years my wife and I have received wonderful medical care by Doctors and staff here. On our recommendation members of our extended family have traveled here, from out of state, for surgical procedures. We all agree Eisenhower is a classy Five Star Medical Center.
