The food is okay, but service was some of the worst I've ever experienced. I even spoke to a manager and couldn't have a conversation with her about my displeasure because she continued to make excuses for the service and was entirely rude to me and my girlfriend. After all of this I tried to come to a peaceful resolution and just say that we weren't going to agree on anything and she still continued to argue. Just spend a couple extra dollars and  go to Maya's or Tios they have nice people there... Also, one of her arguments was about the low portions and her argument was "the food comes in a bag." Awesome...

There's plenty of options for Mexican cuisine in the Poplar Bluff area, what has set El Acapulco aside for me has been the service. As someone with a strict diet there's​ nothing I appreciate more than a waiter who takes the effort to get my order right on a consistent basis and I've always got this here. Great food you can get at plenty of places, great food prepared the way you ask is much more difficult to find.

Horrible experience! Overpriced food for such small portions of food, watery salsa, and snooty employees! Would give a lower star if possible! Go to Tios or Mayas!

Passing through town this restaurant was next door.  Excellent food and people are very friendly.

My chile rellenos were okay but the service was substandard. Our server never brought our flour tortillas, never refilled our drinks, never offered dessert. Basically, he just brought our food and ignored us until it was time to bring us our bill.
