Great food. Like fantastic street tacos, beans and rice. Pretty good salsa, you can always tell what your getting into at a Mexican place just by their chips and salsa. Probably one of the few times that I wanted to keep eating even as I was stuffed because it was so good. One of the few times I finished my plate at a Mexican restaurant. Fantastic. And it's cheap!

I was really surprised. I have lived in major cities for most of my life and have always find restaurants that have good authentic food. This place has really good food authentic Mexican food. Sure they are not going to everything, but it was delicious and because of location it was cheap.

Beware you'll get there hungry but lose your appetite and if you do eat, you'll lose your food on the way out. This restaurant has awesome food BUT they have an awful smell outside. I don't live in Johnson City but when we are in the area my husband loves to stop at this restaurant. Every occasion we have stopped the smell is always there. This restaurant deserves 5 stars, it really does the food is great, great employees, great atmosphere, great pricing but the smell that lingers is terrible.

Upon entering the restaurant I was greeted immediately by the staff. I noticed the sign that said seat yourself so I did period within one minute of being seated the waitress was already taking my drink order and handing me a menu. The coffee that I ordered was excellent. I ordered the huevos rancheros with an extra egg over medium, a side of barbacoa, and two pancakes. Unfortunately the refried beans were lukewarm at best. As a matter of fact, all of my food was not hot. The Barbacoa was not greasy which I was a very appreciative of, but it was lacking in flavor. The tortillas were homemade, the flour tortillas that is. The waitress states that the corn tortillas are bought. The pancakes were great. I would have given this rating of 5 if my food would have been hot as for the atmosphere, there was Mexican music playing in the background to set the mood. The staff and I'm assuming the owner were very friendly. Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, I just wish it was hot.
