The carne tacos were delicious. The chili sauce was perfect especially the Diablo sauce. And I love that they were not stingy about handing out the chili sauce.  The picnic tables were clean. I'm looking forward to returning my next trip to El Chavo.Food: 5/5

I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed this place before and I don’t know why. It’s near my house, so eating there could be a matter of convenience, but it just isn’t, because I’d drive an hour to eat it! Very fresh and consistently delicious, El Chavo delights every single time. My only complaint is that they are cash only and I NEVER have cash. Probably good or I’d give them all of my money. I highly recommend El Chavo, if you haven’t tried it, do it asap. The shrimp salad is amazing, the fish tacos are my favorite, and I’ve heard great things about the pork tacos. Worth every cent and very friendly owners. 10/10 every time.  Dietary restrictions: I am pescatarian and have no issues with options here.  Parking: There is a large parking lot right next door to the truck! Tables available too for eating in place!

Nastiest tacos I’ve ever ate in my life. Crusty, dry, disgusting. Tortillas were dry. Chicken was crusty and dry as well. The beans they have are gross. Even the rice!!! 0 stars if I could.Food: 1/5

Best tacos in the valley, probably best tacos in Idaho. I've had to go to San Diego to get better. And those weren't better, just "on par." Carne Asada and adobada are go-to's. Burritos are the best breakfast or luch deal around.Food: 5/5

Tacos stacked on tacos. Huge carne list. Al pastor was ok, carnitas was very good my favorite, chorizo was good and the Chicharrones was spicy and fatty. Good little taco truck with a large menu. Priced well and they have two good types of salsa verde. Both with great flavor. The one called Diablo has a bit of heat to it. Great place to grab some lunch.

I mean 2 years later & STILL RECOMMENDED over any place around for tacos/burritos/ whatever Mexicano craving ur looking to satisfy! This is by far the best. So fresh so fast & still budget friendly!! They work hard & the quality of their food shows they love what they're doing! Thank you again. I always thinking I'll have left overs but it's so good I can't stop eating it!! Haha ------------------------------- Amazing street tacos, always working hard to get your food out quickly & precisely. The employees are really sweet & know what they're doing. Waited 35 minutes for 5 taco combo. When I approached the truck and politely asked how much longer they thought the wait might be, the woman working was extremely unprofessional and rude. She finally said they had a big phone order come in before us. Why not just communicate that with the 7 people standing around? She seemed to hate her job. When the food was finished, 45 min it was good.

This taco truck has the best Carne Asado in Boise.  The meat is packed with flavor and tender.  The prices are very good!  Attached is a picture of Carne Asado Nachos for only $8.50.  You have try this family Taco truck on Overland just before Vista on the right side.

This has become my go-to "taco truck," and I called it that for a reason.  It is a taco truck, and well, after several  years in San Diego County, the roadside trucks were the best.  You got that here.  I've eaten there now about 4 times, and I've yet to be disappointed with the flavor and authenticity.  Today I ventured and grabbed the Gordita, YUUUMMM.  The presentation wasn't the best; the top portion was cracked and made eating it difficult and messy.  But it was delicioso.  Loved it and will continue to go back.  AUTHENTIC south of the border taste.

The sign literally says, “Best Street Tacos.” It’s not a lie - these tacos SLAP. Moved up to Boise from Southeast Texas, where Tex-Mex is plentiful and there’s a taco truck on every corner. These tacos from El Cavo are comparable to any taco I had in Texas. Authentic street tacos, among other delicious menu items, and top-notch service. It’s not easy to come by a quality Mexican/Taco option in Idaho, so look no further than Chavo!
