Ordered 3 lunches from here today. Everyone loved the food. Always friendly faces working. Edit: Finally able to dine in. Tried new food. Amazing! Super friendly staff.

Came here 2 weeks ago and still thinking about how awful it was.  Honestly the worst Mexican food I've ever had. It was oily, soggy, and bland. Not even the American food was good, the mozzarella sticks were hollow and cheeseless. The chicken taquitos tasted like cat food, quesadilla tasted like refrigerator, carne asada was undercooked yet tough, nachos were stale, and the seafood enchilada was mushy. How can you even call yourself a Mexican restaurant without horchata or free chips & salsa?  The bathroom smelled rancid and was definitely not up to code. The tv/bar was too loud and made it hard to converse. And the waitress kept forgetting which drinks people had/confusing orders and would slam everything down on the table except the things too hot to touch-no she'd hand you that directly  Support your local food trucks

Highly disappointed... The prices went up and the portion size went down...   Another restaurant solely focused on profit. I have been here numerous times, but it has been several months since the last visit. The picture is their LGGRANDE nachos, for $16.99, you get about 35 chips with melted cheese...  This, with the approximately 35% increase in menu prices on nearly every menu item... I will not be coming back. I DO NOT RECOMMEND

I have been going to this place for many years.  This is an actual legit Mexican restaurant. They play the music you want , and serve good food. You feel welcome when you walk in. I recommend this over any other restaurants in Burlington.

Nice place!  Great food and friendly owner and staff.  Definitely worth revisiting.  Adrianna, Aida and owner Ruth Maria were fabulous servers and very welcoming!   Love this place!

El Gitano is always one of my favourite stops whenever I travel in WA.  Haven't been to El Gitano for years since the pandemic. There are now only two locations remaining originally, there were 5 locations, pre-pandamic.  This is my first time at this Burlington location, food is excellent as usual a bit over salted on the shredded beef enchilada, but all others were fine.  Will be back to the Bellingham location in the near future!

We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant ans El Gitano didn’t disappoint! Great food, and great service! Thanks to Lucita!

Service was a little slow. Other than that it's great food, drinks and server was nice.
