Second time I come with my family, the food is delicious!!! Fresh and tasty. We loved everything we ordered. 100% recommendFood: 5/5

Staff were very friendly. Place was nice and clean. Sadly food was not great. I would not return. The carne asada was over cooked and burnt. The carne asada and chicken tacos did not taste like other Mexican cuisines I have tasted. The meat had an over powering Smokey flavor and really no seasoning. Just overall not my favorite. The horchata was great probably the only thing I would reorder. But I would not recommend this restaurant or return to this restaurant. I would rather go and eat at the fast food chains like Betos and rancheritos I would even prefer nasty Taco Bell over this food.

Great food, good atmosphere, kind staff! Our family spent $60 on three adult meals, two kids meals, and 3 beverages kids meals include drink. My kids loved the burritos and they were huge. My husband cleaned his plate!  I love the yummy salsa bar.

The best Mexican food I have ate here in Utah! The presentation is so beautiful and every bite is delicious. The staff are nice and friendly. Must try the carne asada plate!Food: 5/5

Called in to order to go. The lady was rude and said hold on when I said I’d like to order for take out. She than started talking to someone and I’m thinking maybe they are grabbing someone to speak better English. Not sure. But stayed on the phone for almost 10 minutes with nothing. Said hello a few times but not trying to be rude. Than when someone grabbed the phone. I said hello than they just hung up. Yeah if the service is this bad could only imagine the food there. Zero stars El Mexiquense grill.

The food is good but not great.  But this review is about the service.  It’s terrible.  It’s slow service with a smile The wait for food is insane.  Like 20 min for to-go tacos with a pretty empty building.  No sense of urgency.  In fact, just barely on cruise control.  Would hate to experience the wait with more than 5 customers in the building. If you have an afternoon to kill and are ok with decent but not amazing food, then carve out a couple hours and head on over.

El Mesiquense makes a great Al Pastor. I have tried the asada and carnitas, which are both good, but not my favorite. But the Al Pastor with pineapple and fresh corn tortilla is amazing. The family deal is the way to go. Get some extra tortillas. The chips and regular salsa are also great. Sometimes the wait can be a bit long -- good luck with your timing : Don't forget -- the Al Pastor is the go-to here!!!  2023 Edit: Did the family meal again. Awesome!!!

My wife and I have traveled to Mexico many times and I went yesterday night Saturday night and got the carne asada plate and the pollo asado plate. DELICIOUS!! This is the first time we’ve had pollo that tastes like Mexico. It was actually even better. And the steak, was seasoned well and DELICIOUS!Food: 5/5

Very authentic and flavorful.  Huge burritos and chimichangas.  I had a fish taco.  It reminded me of being on the beach under a palapa in Baja California.

I'm a big fan of the salsa bar. Fresh, natural fruit beverages always on hand. Tacos are big in size and served with homemade tortillas. I'd say it's somewhat close to authentic Mexican flavor.Food: 4/5
