Sorry El Rancho I hate being a negative critic( is there any other thing, really?) But I can't do anything but state the facts but with no hate or sarcasm or jibes. I ordered a taco salad per servers recommendation. It was under eatable. Beans burnt and obviously rinsed off with water and saved for use hamburger meat was greasy and tasteless , and of course burn. But I did eat most of the taco shell. It was hot and crunchy and good.

We like to go there with our neighbors on Wednesdays for their Taco specials. Also end up getting a bowl of green chili. Their fish fry on Friday is not too bad either.

I'd give this place 3 stars for the food, but the service knocked it down to 1 star. We went in with a group of 12, two separate orders. I understand that is a lot of people, but there was only one other table occupied at that time. We sat, but waited for menu's until after our drinks were delivered. The chips and salsa were okay, but we ran out of chips and new ones weren't offered. We ordered our food and it was brought out at seperate times, I got mine about 5 minutes before my husband did. We weren't asked if we needed anything else, we had to ask for ketchup and sour cream. All that would've been tolerable, then we got the bill! I even made sure the waitress knew who was with what group and she was sure. $114 for 7 people (2 children only got sodas and no food!). We have been on vacation for 2.5 weeks and have not been charged over $70 anywhere else! So I reviewed the bill, we were charged for 13 drinks (we were only paying for 7 in our group) and our friends were charged for all 5 of theirs. One of their children's meals was on our bill and apparently the waitress had OFFERED my child (and our friends child who were sitting at the opposite end of the table) fries with their food that did not come with their food, so we were charged extra for those. After going over the bill, we went to discuss it with our waitress who was checking us out. Her response? "Your children were yelling at me over and over again that they wanted cheese sticks, did you hear them?" Um, no, I actually didn't (my children would not have been "yelling", it is very possible they repeated themselves so she heard them. I actually have to ask my children to speak up because they are very quiet and shy, but I suppose that's beside the point). I couldn't understand what the cheese sticks had to do with the extra fries she offered them? And then she said "I don't know how I added so many extra drinks." No apology, NOTHING. No offering to take anything extra off, such as the fries she offered to them without letting anyone know it was extra. After she took off the 6 extra drinks and our friends childs food, we were still left with the insane bill of $86. They nickel and dime for everything and had I not noticed, we would've paid the $114. The food was okay, but I'll never go back! Eva's is the place for Mexican food in Snowflake.

Enjoyed our visit. Would have liked a milder salsa choice but meals were good.
