It was pretty good, I had pork chops seems to me they were old not fresh. Very flavorful though. The drinks were amazing. I will return get different entree though.
Let me start by saying that the service is horrible. The food OMG I order Bandeja Salvadoreña and 2 pupusas de queso. The bandeja was really dry the Maduros were not cooked they were raw. The rice and beans were nasty and it taste like it had been there for days. The curtido for the pupusa was horrible it tasted really bad like it had been in the plastic bag for months. I love Salvadorian food but this one was the worst I ever had in my life. I'm a Flight Attendant and go to a Salvadoran restaurant in every state. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not good. The first and last time I go here, NJ has been the worst.
I hate throwing out food but this was by far that kind of night. Ordered on GrubHub and was happy to see the Google reviews were promising. What a let down, garbage casamiento, garbage pupusas, garbage steak. The only thing semi good was the curtido. By the way, I've never seen a casamiento salvadoreño Made with red beans...
Please people do not waste your money in this restaurant, is not the same that it use to be before the pandemic, every time we came to New Jersey we use to eat with our family, is 2022 our first time back and prices are not the same just like the quality of food, there is a reason why it has more one starts that Two or three, we order a beef soup and they brought us a soup with a bone that only had fat, we ask for the soup to be exchange for a different piece of meat and the waitress said “that’s how they are”, bad service!, at the end they did not even gave us our exact change, I will never come back again.
I used to go there before the pandemic, they had a good menu and their food was good. Now that I went back everything sucks, I ordered shrimp ceviche and it was like I ordered tomato juice with 4 small shrimp for $15. Their shrimp linguine was watery. Never going back there again.
It’s not like how it used to be smh the pupusas had no flavor and very chewy like gum , the corn tamales where bland and they didn’t even provide sauce for the pupusas and the horchata was good . I was very disappointed the food wasn’t good at all the only thing that was good was the soup of res but everything else was not . Won’t be coming back
Please do NOT go there. This place is not the same as it was years ago. I ordered the "sopa de mariscos especial" and the fish was bad. The rice and gallina soup wasn't that good either. It was a waste of money overall. I'm never going back there! No boten su dinero!
I started coming here since the age of 13 years old. 29 years ago this place was a little hole on the wall. Over the years they've expanded and have introduce new items into their menu. The food is still delicious and staff is very accommodating. The waitresses are really nice and cute . I been ordering the Empire steak special & popusas for 29 years.
Great service and delicious food! I had the loroco pupusa which was freahly hot made, so delicious and easy to open it up salvadorian style eatery, put tha “curtido” over each half, puored the “salsa de tomate”, and yum yum! Ditched the silverware while enjoying my pupusa! “That is how pupusas are eaten, ditch the fork and use your ” Also, I had the carne con chimol. Deliciously; I ate almost everything! I will be back! When in the area.
This is the worst quality food you can get . La comida esta muy mal en este lugar y vien cara $$ would rather go to McDonald then this place again food is all burn and rice and beans feels that they have done them days ago . So sad nice restaurant but the worst food you can get there’s nothing from El Salvador quality on this place is just quantity
