Amazing food. I highly recommend the carne asada torta, absolutely delicious . The restaurant itself is small and cozy. You can watch your food being made, or relax in their authentic Mexican restaurant style booths or out on the patio. The staff is extremely friendly. You can actually have a great conversation while you wait for your food. The prices are reasonable. You get what you pay for, and it's very worth it. The very friendly hostess also advised me they cater. Great service, awesome food

Ladies and Gentlemen, I want to share my experience at El Taquito today. As a retired waiter for a Fine Dining Restaurant In San Diego am accustomed to quality meals flavourwise and Presentation, Today I walked into El Taquito not knowing what to order, So, A very friendly Lady behind the counter very knowledgeable about the menu quickly told me the best dishes in the menu and she told her favorite dish is the Green Chilaquiles plate,  chopped Tortilla, [ NOT CHIPS NOR NACHOS ] pan sauteed to light crispy finish, cooked in Green salsa , melt cheese, topped with scrambled eggs , Sour cream and fresh chopped onions , optional  well, I happened to Love Chilaquiles since childhood and it's my favorite Dish, therefore I am pleased to say that I just had THE BEST, and I mean THE BEST chilaquiles plate ever. Wow, certainly my mind was blown away when another Friendly lady brought the plate to where I was seating.  A restaurant success is based mainly in 2 things,  Good quality service and Good quality taste.  I am very picky regarding food but El Taquito exceeded my expectations. Am Giving this place Two thumbs Up  , AAA rating and  . Compliments to the chef by the way, Pic #2 shows how much I hated his food . Job well done. CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL STAFF.

This has quickly become one of my favorite spots. I have tried most of their menu options...and I have not been disappointed. The Chile Verde is amazing, the meat is tender, seasoned to perfection, and with just the right level of spice. Try It!Food: 5/5

Best Taquitos here! I love the potatoes and chorizo breakfast burrito. If you like Menudo, OMG they have the best menudo here on the wekends! Meat is so tender a d the flavor is amazing!Food: 5/5

Delicious food and very on point. Good selection and great service. A hidden gem in South El Monte. Just as good as the Original spot back in El Sereno. But they dont do the chorizo taquitos there like here which are . Highly recommend this place.

The food was delicious and very flavorful. My toddler enjoyed the tacos de carne asada & horchata. I had the green wet burrito which had a nice kick. My husband liked that the carne asada tacos tasted like the meat was grilled on the bbq. They had a variety of Mexican soft drinks which my husband liked. The service was prompt and the employees were very welcoming. The place was clean and they have a nice patio seating . I highly recommend this restaurant.

The staff is great.  Food is good . MENUDO SMELLS  LIKE MY MOM IS COOKING IT!! I don't live in the area I eat here for lunch at work but definitely coming on the weekend to get some Menudo!! I love the inside it is cozy and the outdoor seating is nice.

The Menudo here reminded me of my Mom's.  Homemade!! They put all the fixing on the side with tortillas.  Customer Service is Great! Very Friendly they make you fill like your home. Thank You for a Wonderful Breakfast

Had the wetVerde carnitas burrito and it was awesome! Spicer than your average, but a nice kick. Very tasty!
