Situated along the main street at the end, this place didn't have a wait or crowd like the American cafes nearby. It's in a separate building, the menu has standard mexican food items, pretty extensive for a place in Truckee. The service was just okay, not the best...it took a while to order.

There were already chips and salsa on the table..the salsa is a bit spicy, but not too much...for me it's on the border of being too spicy to enjoy it.

I ordered the #8, cheese enchilada combo. While the food was hot...I'm debating on the quality of the food. Like it's just okay, but not scrumptious. There's plently of cheese, but the sauce isn't flavorful. The rice was mushy and the beans were okay. 

I guess this food is good for the area, but in general, it's a pass.

We both had Taco Salads. Mine was with carnitas. Lots of everything. One of the most generous of servings that I have ever had..and I have Taco Salads alot as I live in Arizona...Lots of meat, beans , lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Even came with sour cream and guacamole. $ 10.75. Great price!

Glad we took a chance and came here. Try it!

Most disappointing meal I've had in many years. Barely mediocre food, beef fajitas tasted old, chili Colorado (called Colorado Beef here) was bland and unappealing. 
Service was TERRIBLE. The waitress rolled her eyes at me while I was ordering. Who does that? 
Will not be going back, do not recommend. Don't go there. Eat anywhere else.

You know when you open a can of wet cat food and it has that smell, well that's what their ground beef tasted like. Service was not so great and out of a table of 6, no one liked their meal. I mean seriously how do you mess up Mexican food this bad?

Amazing place! Great food! Amazing service!  Before we came here. we were  at another claimed to be Mexican restraunt called Margs taco bistro that sucked  and had horrible service. Came to El Toro Bravo  right up up the street, the secoind we walked In waa greeted and served. Couldn't be more thankful and the food is out of this world! Sri is AMAZING! Highly recommend this place! This is where the locals eat!
