What are you doing!?!? A night club on van Nuys? NO!!
This location has had a history of failed bars. Look at your demographic, you are surrounded by successful dive bars that open before noon everyday. This "bar" cant even stay open until 1am. You had the right idea with the original Irish pub name (Johny Obriens) however it NEVER looked or felt like a pub so it failed. Put in a few vintage chandeliers, provide seating and make the bar a wood top with rotating specials each week/month. I don't come to a bar to go deaf or to look at art. If you're tying to claim this establishment as a night club  then who in their right mind would go clubbing in/on Van Nuys?? One thing I hate is your pay per play music box doesn't even work! Elevation's main drawing point/theme is music, yet your music box is broken! Elevation will fail if it does not A. Move to Hollywood or B. Abide to the demographics of Van Nuys.

-All of the staff are women. (Who can't talk sports/best if they don't try)

-9/10 bartenders here are a combination of bad things, from drug use to being drunk or sleazy with customers.

This spot has undergone a major transformation recently with new decor, artwork, and most importantly, talented dj's spinning really great music.  If you haven't been there lately, it is worth revisiting.  Saturdays are awesome with DJ Alex Mejia. No food but on some nights, there's a taco bar in the back.
