An outstanding meal - stumbled on this place in a small unassuming town between Rochester, NY & Washington DC. The meal was superb and the service extremely professional. Their wine selection is excellent and varied. And the desserts -wow! We highly recommend stopping here if convenient.
We celebrated Valentines Day at Elizabeth’s a year ago and I have been so excited to go back ever since. We brought our baby along with us and they seated us in a cozy table right by the fireplace and he slept the whole time. We don’t often get a chance to go on dates and the atmosphere was just magical. We both ordered a little out of our comfort zones and we were not disappointed. The crème brûlée was the perfect finish. The service was attentive and the food presentation was just beautiful. It was the most amazing dining experience I’ve ever had. We will be back.
My husband and I eat at Elizabeth’s on a fairly regular basis. The quality of the food is superb as well as the service. The photo below was taken last Saturday night of the butcher’s special. It was as delicious as it was beautifully presented! I cannot recommend it more highly!
EXCELLENT FOOD! So delicious! Atmosphere was friendly and quaint. The owner and staff were amazing and made the evening enjoyable. I will definitely be paying another visit and introducing this restaurant to more family and friends.
Update: I decided to come back to give it another try during a different menu. I have to say that I was just still not that satisfied. The pizza appetizer was sloppy, very messy, and the dough was chewy. The sauce on the pizza was very chunky and was not a fan. I got the duck which I didn't like too much. I've neve been disappointed with a duck entrée before. I found the sauce to be very underwhelming. I just didn't enjoy it. I really did want to like this place, as it is very popular in the area, but I just can't. Quick summary: Food was good, but for the price, I expected better. I was underwhelmed overall. Food was good and tasted healthy. AMEX isn’t accepted so my gold was sad. I got recommended this place to try out by some friends who were very impressed with the food. So I came in with high expectations. I made a reservation beforehand. Menu is brief but contains a lot of great options. I got the seafood linguine and my girlfriend got the spring salad. After ordering we got the bread which was OK. The whole grain brown bread was on the drier side and I didn’t really like it. The cheese bread was good, but was oddly extremely salty maybe just how it is?. It was good, but tasted like I was biting into a piece of bread that had a layer of salt over it. Food came out in about 30 minutes. Had a table wait even longer next to us. Since we ate at 4, I think we were the first there to place an order though. But longer wait times isn’t that bad, since you know it’s fresh and made well. Seafood linguine // good but felt like something was missing.. I actually kinda wished there was more salt on this dish. I believe the linguine was home made, and rightfully so since it tasted great. All the seafood tasted fresh and good. The sauce was a “spicy red sauce” but I think that should be changed to red sauce since it wasn’t spicy at all… BBQ chips are more spicy for reference. Overall dish was good and tasted fresh. Felt good after not bloated. Worth $28? No, not to me. Spring salad // since so didn’t directly taste this, I can’t give my opinion on it. But, my GF had it and she said it was good. Cookies & cream dessert // good ending to the meal. My GF liked it a lot. It was cool to see the assortment of different things in it. Pretty cool. I didn’t like it too much though. There’s a coupon on their website to get one for free so might as well try it. So, I thought it was pretty good. Nice atmosphere, OK food, and what not. But I don’t think their prices match their food. It could’ve just been me coming in with too high of expectations, but I was just dissatisfied and underwhelmed. There website gives me a finer dining vibe and I just didn’t really get that there. I would recommend this place for people to try, but I won’t be coming back. Just better options in the area.
If you are ever near Lewisburg, PA, and are looking for a great place to dine, I implore you to go to Elizabeth’s. Their menu changes seasonally and contains a variety of expertly curated dishes - each one is uniquely flavorful. Also, there are often fabulous daily specials, and the chief is very accommodating to dietary restrictions. When ordering, make sure to save room for dessert! Elizabeth’s has a mouthwatering dessert menu. I particularly love the chocolate chip cheesecake; it is light, creamy, and rich. If you must forgo dessert, then be sure to check out their selection of baked goods. The scones are delicious. Be mindful that Elizabeth’s does get busy. I recommend making a reservation before visiting, however, do not hesitate to stop by without one. The staff is absolutely wonderful and will surely accommodate you if they are able. With friendly and knowledgeable waitstaff, a charming atmosphere, delicious food, and an excellent and varied selection of wines and seasonally curated cocktails, Elizabeth’s is THE place to dine.
I went here for the first time today and sat on the patio. It was so lovely with fresh edible flowers and herbs that the staff uses for the dishes they prepare. The ambience, service, and food was incredible! The owners and staff are kind, bubbly, and truly care about the dishes they prepare. Fantastic baked goods as well. Overall a great place to go to support a farm to table, locally owned business.
We held a private celebration event and it was the perfect setting. The staff was wonderful and friendly to work with. We also had requested special specific meals due to dietary issues and they were so helpful in assisting us with these needs. If you want to enjoy a meal or private event go to Elizabeth's because they go above and beyond to provide an amazing and tasteful dinner/event!
My family and I had a wonderful lunch on their lovely back patio. The service and food was excellent. I have a gluten allergy and they took all the precautions to ensure my food was safe and our experience there enjoyable. Highly recommend!!
Food is genuinely great. Steak was tender and perfectly prepared. A pear salad delicious. And yet. Staff is lacking on a busy night, diners linger waiting to be seated as unbussed tables are neglected and bread baskets and glasses remain empty. We had a great meal regardless.
