Elm Street Books is one of the best in the country offering outstanding literature for adults and children with weekly readings and book signings by famous authors.The bookstore has wonderful merchandise besides books including handmade cards, toys and gifts for all ages. If I want a particular book I call the bookstore and the friendly staff simply puts it aside for me to pick up at any time that's convenient for me. Elm Street Books is a non- profit organization founded by customers who love the store when the original bookstore closed due to competition from Amazon and other large booksellers who won't give you the same personal high quality time.

The staff are extremely friendly and engaging and the range of books was different from mainstream book stores which meant that I could find the perfect gift. This store is a must-see destination for all who visit New Canaan!
