Elmhurst Hospital's Main Campus opened on June 25, 2011 and is located near the corner of York St. and Roosevelt Road in Elmhurst.

Elmhurst became one of five hospitals in DuPage County to earn prestigious Magnet recognition for excellence in nursing in 2015. For Elmhurst, which employs 700 nurses, the journey to Magnet recognition began in 2008 with the design of a new replacement hospital, which opened in 2011.
