I visited Elmora Exchange not long after my Grand Mother passed. She left me quite a bit of gold jewelry that I wanted to sell and my experience was not a good one. I felt the owners were treating me like I was stupid and that my gold did not have much value after one of them made comments that a lot of the gold was 10K and that it was hollow. So he made me an offer that was extremely low.  I knew this because I do own a  calculator and i checked the price on the internet. So I refused at this time the other owner said that maybe he made a mistake and wanted to double check his calculations....After recalculating their offer doubled ???  This is when I got a really bad taste in my mouth, and if I felt like they were treating me like I was stupid earlier, I was convinced of it now. Any how it seems like these guys are trying to put their kids through College in one deal. After leaving the Elmora Exchange I googled my phone and ended up at  another local Gold Buyer. My suspicions were right I got paid better then 3 X's their original offer which added up to over $1,200.00
Besides the fact these guys tried to RIP ME OFF my experience was Okay

These guys are crooks. Unfortunately an acquaintance of mine stole several pieces of jewelry from me after myself and my family open our hearts and our home to him when he had nowhere else to go. He and I went to the pawnshop to try to get my jewelry back but the guy he had sold it to was not there that day, rather his partner was there. His partner claimed that he was an employee of the other man, that he had no access to the logs or to the safe to check if my pieces were there, but that it was unlikely my jewelry was sold there. My acquaintance (as much as he did wrong) somehow knew exactly what the other man looked like, and the fact that he always had a gun on his hip, and his name. I found out later that the man I had spoke to at the shop lied to me. The two men opened the store together and they are 50-50 partners. But he had claimed that the other man with his boss hence having no access to the safe and complete logs. They clearly did an illegal transaction and to cover their asses they probably melted down my jewelry or got rid of it as soon as possible. By law they are supposed to record every piece of jewelry or commodity that they buy, but they did not do that in this case. They are also required to obtain ID from the seller which they also did not do. I pleaded with them, telling them I would even pay for my jewelry to get it back. The fact that they keep denying they had it in their possession or have it is beyond me. If they don't work something out with me or confess to the crimes they have committed they risk losing their license and incurring a major charge. I honestly just want my jewelry back. They are really sentimental items and it has nothing to do with their monetary value. (Although that amount is over $2000.)These men are dishonest and obviously have no morals or ethics. I hope that they have to go through something similar that I am going through now. Karma is a bi*ch. I'm sure they will find that out.
